During harvest most strategic sites and terminals operate extended shifts and sometimes weekends (subject to demand). Opening hours are varied to take account of weather factors. More detailed information on silo hours can be obtained by phoning the ABB Service Centre on 1800 018 205 or through ezigrain's Operating Hours page.

At major export terminals (Port Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Wallaroo and Port Giles), shipping has priority over grower receivals and reduction of elevation capacity for shipping may slow grower deliveries and result in longer turnaround times.

Grain classification

ABB grain received into ABB storage will be sampled and inspected to assess the quality and condition of the grain, and to ensure it is free from contaminants, which might cause food safety or marketing problems. ABB will classify grain according to our standards as published on ezigrain. These grades are primarily derived from standards determined by peak industry bodies, including NACMA.

NACMA's standards committee determines standards for other coarse grains, in consultation with the industry. To view the standards, go to www.nacma.com.au. Periodically, ABB may establish other classifications to suit seasonal conditions or market needs.
